Reading High guard Ruben Rodriguez will continue his basketball career at Division I Rider. The 6’1 senior signed his letter of intent at the Geigle Complex in front of his family, teammates, and coaches. Rodriguez has been selected to the All-State first team in the past two years. He poured in 19.8 points per game last season and led the Red Knights to Berks County and District 3 championships. Rodriguez averaged 5 assists, 5 rebounds, and 3 steals. He will enter his senior campaign with 1,291 career points. Over the past two years at Reading, Rodriguez has piled up 1,003 points. He’s coming off an outstanding football season. The speedy wide receiver finished second in Section 1 of the Lancaster-Lebanon League with 52 catches and 12 TD.
